To make this easel card I used the Jolly Holiday stamp set C16548 and stamped it in sea glass ink Z2813. Also using Sea Glass ink, I stamped the sentiment from the Season of Magic C1665. I embellished the card using retired white sequins, sparkles, ribbon, and glitter flakes from the complements collection. I also used the Turquoise Blue ShinHan marker (Z2465) to contour the edges of the card.
I also used thin 3-D foam tape (Z2060) to pop the sentiments on both the inside & outside of the card.

I made this card following most of the instructions for one of the cards in the Workshop Your Way City Sidewalks Scrapbooking kit (G1114) but put my own spin on it.
I used the stamp set from the Workshop Your Way Happy Holidays card making kit (G1115). I used the small sparkles and red enamel gems (Z3090) to embellish it.

With this paper collection I decided to make a few cards to get ready for the upcoming birthdays. I used the Monstrous Halloween thin cuts and stamp bundle Z4006 to make the cute little monsters. This is a great set to add to any craft room!
I mixed the stamp sets to get the sentiment I wanted. I decorated using the jeepers creepers washi tape Z4010, some stars from the assortment Z4009, some purple shimmer trim(discontinued) and some white twine Z3216.

I used the same products as above to embellish this card. Notice the sentiment? YES, we now have stamps En Francais! I am very excited! The stamp is from Wise Guy Birthday (French) C1662F

I hope you enjoyed this card collection!

I created this layout from a sketch I found on pinterest. I made a few changes and once I  find the perfect pictures I will be able to add my title on the top.
I used many of the same products as mentioned above;flamingo dots white & gold ribbon , gold sequins, and I also used Lagoon ink pad to ink my edges.

HOTW November White Pines Blog Hop

Welcome to the Hearts of the West team blog hop!

If this is your first time joining us you will love it. It features Close to my hearts Consultants from all over Canada showing you their projects. The hearts of the west team was founded by Nancy Klein.
This months feature is the White Pines paper pack.

If you came from Kim’s Blog then you're in the right place, this is a go around blog hop so you can start anywhere! Just in case, the full list will be at the bottom. So, as always, grab your coffee, tea, water, relax, and hop around the team with us.

With this month's paper collection, White Pines, I decided to get a head start on some of my Christmas cards.

I first saw this type of card back in July when Donna Digby posted her winning Canada Day card entry. I thought it was very different and knew that I wanted to try making this type of card.

I embellished my card using gold sequins, gold foil trim and gold washi tape. I used green glitter paper to cut out a shape to use as a background to my sentiment.

I added another little folding tag on the back of the card to add a personal message. I also made slightly different varieties of the same card.

For this one-I added some gold shimmer trim and some red enamel gems.  I used the Joyful Garland stamp set with cranberry ink to stamp my sentiment.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed viewing this fun card. Please feel free to leave a comment!

Card in a box- a year in review

It's been almost a year now since I made my first card in a box. This was the most popular card I made & sold in 2014.

I have never really been a card maker but this type of card was so fun to make.
I've made them for just about every occasion.

Mother's Day
Wedding Anniversary

Birthday

Baby Shower

Engagement

30th Wedding Anniversary

Birthday

High School Graduation

Birthday

Father's Day

Father's Day

This year I am going to explore other types of fancy folds.
With the help of my Explore and some great SVG files out there the possibilities are endless!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

March's Hearts of the West Hopscotch Blog Hop

Welcome to the Hearts of the West team blog hop!

If this is your first time joining us you will love it. It features Close to my hearts Consultants from all over Canada showing you their projects. The hearts of the west team was founded by Nancy Klein.
This months challenge is the Hopscotch paper pack, brought to you by the new Annual Inspirations, hand picked from Nancy Klein.

If you came from Donna's Blog then you're in the right place, this is a go around blog hop so you can start anywhere! Just in case, the full list will be at the bottom. So, as always, grab your coffee, tea, water, relax, and hop around the team with us.

For my first project I used the circuit Artiste cartridge to create this cute little bag.

It takes only a few minutes to cut and fold. A great little gift bag for treats or even a gift card!

I used pattern 28 with cutting guide from Make it from your Heart Vol 2 to make this card.

The colors are very bright and cheerful! I inked the edges, added some stickers from the Hopscotch Complement and a few sequins and ribbon too.

I also used some of the same products to make this cute little handbag.

I embossed the front with the quatrefoil embossing folder to add some dimension.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed viewing these fun projects! Please feel free to leave a comment!
